This cozy vintage kitchen in the heart of Hollywood needed updating, but with careful attention paid to preserving its unusual original features — a curved half wall housing a peanut-shaped cabinet, and an oversized support beam carved like an elaborate balustrade. Experts at optimizing space and incorporating respect for historic structures, 24 delivered by creating a new kitchen that met all the owner’s needs and combined vintage features with modern amenities.
Traditional style hardwood cabinets and a gleaming white porcelain farm sink are accented with grey marble 2″ x 4″ subway tile, and a black Caesarstone countertop. The very modern stainless steel range is topped by the kitchen’s original wood detail over the stove hood. And of course, the curved wall and it’s quirky little cabinet were stripped and refinished to match the rest of the new custom cabinetry. The overall resulting effect is bright, clean and charming.
