ROOM ADDITION
In a city that is increasingly having to learn to build up rather than out, NB Construction relishes the challenge of solving families’ square footage dilemmas and creating spaces that they not only love, but that work for them. This extensive remodel of a classic post-war California ranch home included the addition of a second story, and a roof-raising of the existing living room to create a brighter space capped by a soaring vaulted ceiling.
The custom-designed second story houses a total of two bedrooms, featuring a master suite with walk-in closet, en suite bath, picture window, and a pair of one-light French doors opening onto a balcony. New energy-efficient windows were installed throughout the home, and the entire exterior was re-stuccoed and painted.
