This Jack-and-Jill bathroom joining two children’s bedrooms had to be highly functional to withstand family wear-and-tear, but the clients also wanted it to reflect the traditional, elegant feel of the rest of the home, which underwent complete renovations by NB Construction. The first order of business was solid wood, custom-built cabinetry with dual undermount sinks to accommodate busy mornings and bedtimes. The delicate design of the raised panel cabinet fronts received multiple coats of light grey lacquer to accentuate the shades of grey found in the basket weave tile pattern on the floor.
An open shower/tub combination clad in 3″ x 6″ white beveled subway tile meets the needs of the different aged children, as do the pair of custom-designed medicine cabinets flanking a beautifully trimmed casement window added over the sink. Additional woodwork crafted for this space include a pair of dark stained pocket doors with casings, and crown molding.
