POWDER ROOM RENOVATION
Few small spaces make an impression as big as this powder room, which was designed and built as part of full home renovation by NB Construction. You may think it’s all about the whimsical design and eye-popping colors of the designer wallpaper, but the impact of the wallcovering is made all the stronger by its pairing with extensive custom woodwork boldly lacquered black.
From the handsome panel door to the door and window casings, the wainscoting, the vanity with its raised panel doors, and the crown molding around the ceiling, every inch of woodwork was custom crafted and finished with coat after coat of black lacquer. Traditional white marble was chosen for the vanity which, along with the dark-stained hardwood flooring, provide a calming base that doesn’t compete with the room’s focal points.
