Before NB Construction got to work, this bright Malibu home overlooking the Pacific Ocean suffered from a dated wood and stone kitchen that weighed down the corner of the open layout like a boat anchor. Not only that, the kitchen had very little storage and a dysfunctional layout. Working within the same floor plan, 24 tripled the cabinet and counter space by custom-building dozens of pieces from wall-hung cabinets to a counter pass-through and a multi-purpose island with a sink.
White Caesarstone stretches across the three-sided layout, the white color scheme punctuated with grey from the stainless appliances, the undermount sink, cabinet handles, and delicate detailing on the pendant lamp shade. Single-panel cabinet doors, an induction stove top, and recessed lighting keep the lines clean and the look streamlined, while crown molding and light-stained hardwood flooring make this space an inviting center of activity in the home.
